TRAVEL MANAGER

AMPM Group is seeking a seasoned travel professional to spearhead our Travel division. The agent will be responsible for supporting a high volume, fast-paced business and scaling the operation. Qualified candidates must have at least 4 years of experience, have a strong understanding of airline contracts and routes, as well as be familiar with DMCs and major destinations within North America and Europe. Successful candidates must be detail orientated and committed to supporting the team in delivering quality service to clients. The candidate must be flexible and have a “do whatever it takes” mentality in the approach to work.



Responsibilities

  • Complete travel arrangements for clients including air and hotel reservations. Must be comfortable performing exchanges and refunds.

  • Respond to client inquires and concerns with a sense of urgency

  • Independently review client reservations for accuracy and quality, proactively correct errors

  • Conduct all business in line with standard procedures. Take 100% ownership of duties and ensure that client expectations are exceeded

  • Provide on-call after-hours services

  • Assure client is aware of all necessary travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited

  • Maintain ownership of each client record until departure to ensure all details (including seat assignments, meal preferences, upgrades, etc) are completed to the clients’ satisfaction.

  • Research and provide solutions to any travel-related problem clients may experience

  • Maintain awareness of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs, and fare requirements and accurately apply this knowledge to all travel arrangements

  • Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with a demanding clientele

  • Perform additional duties/projects as requested

  • Tracking all commissions



Skills/Experience

  • Must have 4 years of travel experience handling domestic and international travel

  • Sabre skills are a plus

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Experience with high-end high demand travelers

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced demanding environment with little supervision

  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are required

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work directly with one or two Senior Travel Managers supporting them in providing excellent service to their members.

  • Tap your love for travel; provide targeted travel research and intelligence tailored to each specific member and trip.

  • Correspond with suppliers (tour guides, ground operators, etc) to check rates and availability and coordinate optimal logistics.

  • Serve as point-person for all concierge-related services for the members.

  • Coordinate and make pre-arrival arrangements with luxury hotels.

  • Craft and edit detailed trip itineraries.
